Gabrielle Hoad

Since graduating in Fine Art from the University of Plymouth in 2006, Gabrielle Hoad has been involved in a number of artist-led projects, including the start-up phase of the studio provider Exeter Artspace and, more recently, Found Space, which places art in non-gallery contexts. Her personal practice focuses on the problematic nature of representation which she explores through drawing, painting, photography and digital video. She also writes for a living - about art where possible, but also on subjects ranging from careers to soap.

Gabrielle Hoad has exhibited in curated shows in Shrewsbury, Manchester, Somerset and Devon as well as in self-organised events. She has also worked with organisations such as Spacex, the Royal Albert Memorial Museum and OrganicArts on community and education projects.
